On my online workbook this week

Dear

This week’s inspiration is packing it in. I was invited to write a guest post for International Floral Blogs showing some of the tools I use most often from my Tool bag. I have also restocked and repacked my on-line Tool Bag with some new-found treasures.

International Floral Blogs is a compilation of posts selected from floral blogs and design websites. It is published by Emelie Ekborg, a floral and interior designer who lives and works in Sweden.

You will also notice a shiny and new Google Translate widget on my workbook. I share my weekly designs with flower friends from more than 70 countries and, even though the translation is not always perfect (and sometimes just plain funny), I do think it is going to make communicating easier and hopefully a bit more convenient for everyone to read.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine

In a nutshell

Sunday April 22 is Earth day and a tiny floral fridge magnet is a wonderful reminder of just how beautiful our planet is.

Trend Alert

Sunday April 22 is Earth day. Every year global events are organized to increase understanding and appreciation of the Earth’s natural environment.

In a Nutshell: get outside to renew and replenish.

The latest trend in floral design is Fantasy within Reality. Brides dream of elaborate designs but have limited budgets. Creative designers turn those dreams into reality. The ongoing trend of using masses of Gypsophila is a good example of this trend. Gyp is relatively inexpensive but creates a generous show when grouped.
