On my online workbook this week: If you frame it that way…
Dear
This week's inspiration is... the hope that you had a simply lovely Valentine's Day.
My tip for you this week is to sit with your one flower that you are planning to frame in the twig heart for a moment. Really look at it. How is it angled on the stem? How will it tilt once placed? This tilt gives it personality. Would you like a shy flower? A defiant flower? A jaunty tilt to the head? The line keeps the flower in the exact position so you can set the tone of the heart message. Also, because there is nothing else in this design it is all up to this one flower. You have to boldly display this one flower in such a way that it speaks to the onlooker.
In many ways bud vases are more difficult to design than a vase filled with flowers. You only get one shot at getting this bud… just… so. Can you make this remarkable? For that it has to be perfectly angled. Perfectly placed.
A whole story in one word. And once you notice that one thing that makes this flower stem so unique, place it with confidence. Let it shine.
Enjoy!
Every good wish,
Christine
ps: The Heart with Arrow symbol is used to express love for people and things... the perfect frame for a gorgeous flower, right?
