On my online workbook this week: Get it together

Dear

My inspiration this week is gratitude. Thank you for all the kind replies to my emails every week. It is always lovely to hear from you.

My design note this week is all about avoiding a slump. This slump is more the slip, slide or droop of your design. The entire concept relies on the design being light as a breeze and the vine giving you that barely there spiral that keeps the design light and airy.

If the vine droops even just a little it will add heaviness and the entire design concept collapses. So… we need a bit of design magic, flower buddies. Prop up the vine by grooming one of the grasses so that you have a firm collar that can carry the weight of the flowering vine. See the picture above, I simply cut the grass blade from the sheaf right at the collar. Hook the vine to prop it up where it needs a bit of support so that the weight of the vine will not drag it down.

Craftsmanship becomes invisible when it is done right. Invisible craftsmanship magic.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine
