With the trend towards all things Vintage now thoroughly mainstream, many designers have to re-learn good old fashioned design skills such as wiring and Floriography (the language of flowers.) But all things Vintage does not mean all things old fashioned. Contemporary designers are using these traditional skills and objects to create innovative and unusual work.

With Valentine’s Day behind us we are now starting to delve into our Easter designs. This year the trend is leaning away from styling with eggs and towards feathers. From large peacock feathers to tiny specs of dawn, it’s tactile and comforting and an inexpensive way to “feather our nest” in uncertain times.
