On my online workbook this week: A Very Merry eucalyptus-collar-candle Christmas!

Dear

This week's inspiration is moving in the right direction.

The trick with this week's design is, of course, to add the eucalyptus collar without the foliage falling flat or being too tightly packed in some places. My tip for you is that when you do a design like this (a design where you have a pattern to follow throughout) try not to change direction or the angle at which you work. I know… I know… but it really makes a difference. This is why I suspended the candle only towards the end. If you change direction or the angle at which you work you risk the chance that the leaves will now naturally fall in a slightly different position for just that section. Yes, the difference is slight but your eyes pick up tiny inconsistencies like that and it looks unprofessional. Craftsmanship always adds value.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine
