On my online workbook this week: A Very Merry Dark and Moody and bring it in from the Woods Trendy Christmas Cheer

Dear

This week's inspiration is this chocolate brown. I am so in love with this colour this winter. It is so intense and glowing and... well... quite fantastic. Which is something I never expected to say of... brown!

Quite the perfect way to get us started for all things Christmas. This month I am showing you my take on the latest Christmas trends for 2023. And I wonder… the whole seasonal look can best be described as: visiting Grandpa’s cabin in the woods, is this in response to the Coastal Granny trend that was so popular earlier? I would love to hear what you think.

My tip for you this week is to wrap the tinsel around the buds at the curve of the candy cane stem to change the direction in which you wrap the tinsel. This way your two ends of tinsel meet from opposite sides and you can simply knot the slippery tinsel to secure it.

If you struggle with the slippery tinsel (but try it first it really is easier than it looks) you can always add a few drops of wood glue along the way up and down the candy cane. The glue dries clear and you won’t even be able to notice it.

Happy Christmas designing, flower buddies!

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine
